Cancellation policy

Simple tiers, no gotchas. The earlier you tell us, the more comes back — and the 48-hour grace period means you can book first and think second.

First 48 hours

Every booking includes a 48-hour grace period. Cancel within two days of reserving — for any reason, no questions — and receive a full refund, as long as arrival is more than 7 days away.

Cancel a month or more ahead and everything comes back: nightly rate, cleaning fee, and taxes, returned to the original payment method within 10 business days.

Inside the final month, homes rarely rebook at full value. You'll receive 50% of the reservation total back, automatically, without a phone call.

In the final week, payments are non-refundable — the home has been held for you and is almost certainly off the market for everyone else. This is exactly what travel insurance is for.

How to cancel

Cancel anytime from your account under My Trips, or by calling (409) 555-0134 — the 24/7 line can process it in minutes. Refunds always return to the original payment method; banks typically post them within 10 business days.

Weather & evacuations

Gulf weather is part of Gulf life. Rain on your dates is not grounds for a refund outside the tiers above. A mandatory evacuation order covering your destination is different: we'll move your dates at no cost or refund you in full — your choice.

Changing dates instead

Life happens before vacations do. More than 30 days out, we'll move your reservation to new dates once, free, subject to availability and any rate difference. Inside 30 days, date changes follow the cancellation tiers — so change early if you can.

Why we recommend travel insurance

The tiers above are predictable, but trips aren't. A third-party travel insurance policy — usually 5–8% of the trip cost — can cover illness, flight disruptions, and family emergencies that fall inside our non-refundable window. We're happy to point you to providers our guests have used well, though the policy is always between you and the insurer.
