Privacy policy
Short version: we collect what a stay requires, we never sell it, and you can ask us anything about it. The longer version follows.
What we collect
Information you give us directly: name, email, phone number, payment details, booking dates and guest counts, identification documents when required, and anything you send us by form, email, phone, or text.
Information collected automatically: basic device and browser data, pages visited, and booking activity on our site, gathered through cookies and similar tools described below.
How we use it
To run your stay: confirming and managing reservations, processing payments, sending arrival instructions and smart-lock codes, and responding to requests before, during, and after your trip.
To run the business: improving our homes and site, preventing fraud and parties, meeting tax and legal obligations, and — with your consent — sending occasional emails about new homes and direct-booking perks. You can unsubscribe from marketing email anytime with one click.
Text messages (SMS)
If you provide a mobile number and opt in, we may text you about your reservation — booking confirmations, arrival codes, mid-stay check-ins, and urgent property notices. Message frequency varies by stay; message and data rates may apply.
You can reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts, or HELP for assistance. Opting out of SMS does not cancel your reservation, but you may miss time-sensitive arrival details — we'll always send those by email too. We never sell your number or share it for third-party marketing.
Who we share it with
Service providers who help us operate: payment processors, email and messaging platforms, cleaning and maintenance vendors (who receive only what a job requires), and identity-verification tools. Each is bound to use your information only to serve us.
Authorities and owners where required: local tax and registration filings, lawful requests, and — for homeowners in our program — occupancy and revenue reporting about their own property. We do not sell personal information. Ever.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to keep the site working (search filters, session security) and lightweight analytics cookies to understand which pages help guests. You can block cookies in your browser settings; the essentials keep the booking flow functional, but some features may degrade.
Retention & security
We keep booking records as long as tax and accounting rules require, and marketing contact data until you unsubscribe. Payment card details are handled by our PCI-compliant processor — we never store full card numbers. Access to personal data inside Solstice Stays is limited to people who need it to do their jobs.
Your choices & contact
You may request a copy, correction, or deletion of your personal information, subject to records we must legally keep. Email stay@solsticestays.example or call (409) 555-0134 and we'll respond within 30 days.
This policy was last updated in January 2026. If we change it materially, we'll note it here and, where appropriate, email you first.
